My passion for rugby began at the age of ten. Having played now for over twenty years, fifteen years professionally – I have been very fortunate to be exposed to professional rugby at the very top level. Being a part of the Stade Toulousain family for many years, I’ve come to realise how important international exposure is to every player. It is my role now as I lead SBM8 to ensure that I can share a huge chunk of my experience with the younger generation. My goal is to help as many young talents as possible, especially those from the South Pacific, make an impact in the international arena.
In 2013, I was able to create a few opportunities and two of our Pacific boys arrived in France to play for Stade Toulouse and sign a few other great prospects including Johnathan Talia’uli for the La Rochelle Rugby Club & Tiuke (Duke) Mahoni for Bayonne. I intend to do this with many more young talents in the future. My affiliation with licenced rugby agents has given me that opportunity. I want to see my fellow Polynesians strive to the top in their respective sports, especially in rugby – which has always been a big part of my life.”
